AOL users Warning

AOL has a nasty habit of trying to conserve bandwidth at your expense.  The default installation of AOL uses compressed graphics to speed up load times of pictures.  This will cause a JPEG image capable of displaying 16.7 million colors to only be seen in 256 colors, and they will look terrible.

To turn off compressed graphics, press:

AOL Version 5.0 AOL Version 6.0 or 7.0
