SUPAI, AZ
This is the reservation of the
Havasupai Indians at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
It is the only place in the US where the mail is delivered by mule. The only way
down there is a 100 mile road to the Hilltop, then either an 8 mile hike, a 2.5 hr ride by
horseback, or by helicopter. Havasupai means people of the blue-green waters.
One of the closest towns to Supai that you can stay at the night before going down there, is Seligman, AZ.
