STAR TRAILS AT
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
River Run Lodge, Glacier National Park, Montana
This shot is a 7 hour exposure,
from 10pm to 5am using an 18mm lens at f/5.6
The star in the center is the North Star. The other stars appear to circle
around it, but actually it's
the earth's rotation that creates this effect. The red streak is a car
returning to their cabin on the
right. The tree on the left was flashed once from about 30 feet
away.
I wish to thank Shawn and Victoria from Seattle, for pointing out the North Star for me. |
